A Certain Archive

In the archive below, I sort my pieces into different (approximate) categories; within each category, the pieces are usually arranged in reverse-chronological order. Because I don't want this archive to get too long, I've posted each piece only once, even if it could fit under multiple headings. There is also some overlap between topics here; for instance, the "Populism" and "Conservative Reform" headings cover some similar ground. The book commentary (at the end) could also apply to some of the other topics.

This archive mostly consists of pieces that are not tied to the newscycle of the second. Super-topical material--polling, day-by-day legislative strategy, etc.--is for the most part not included. (After all, who today really wants to read some analysis of a 2010 Florida Senate poll?) And most super-short posts are not included, either.
